Where Creativity Meets Refinement
Known for magnifying ideas into tangible beauty, Hsien-Hsun HUANG brought his refined sensibility and conceptual depth to the design of kim-a:’s packaging.
The result is a presentation that transcends the conventions of the precious metal industry — positioning kim-a: as a distinctive and irreplaceable name in contemporary gold craftsmanship.
Before beginning the design process, Hsien-Hsun HUANG and the team focused on the emotional resonance and spirit of kim-a:. “From the moment of purchase to the act of unboxing, every experience must echo the brand’s philosophy,” he explains.
Through visual language, they sought to express this connection — shaping not just a luxury product, but a cultural statement of modern gold ownership.
For Hsien-Hsun HUANG, the most essential aspect of packaging lies in its distinct identity. By highlighting kim-a:’s signature color palette and playing with cylindrical, modular forms reminiscent of building blocks, he reimagines the narrative of gold. Layered with 247VISUALART ’s expertise in mixed-material integration and advanced print finishing, the packaging defines a new level of material sophistication.
The Balance of “Talent” and “Quality”
kim-a:’s packaging is a masterful fusion of creative talent and exceptional quality, revealing the meticulous care invested in every decision.
Visually, it features expansive fields of brand blue — a hue that transcends the conventional color gamut, commanding attention with its noble, avant-garde tone. The clean, geometric box design mirrors the sleek precision of the product itself. Constructed from a two-tier heaven-and-earth box structure, the packaging layers tactile eco-paper with a matte finish, anti-counterfeit optical stickers, and transparent acrylic, creating a rich, dimensional unboxing experience.
Given the premium nature of the product, protection was also paramount. Each package is fitted with custom-cut sponge and corrugated outer boxes for dual cushioning, enhanced with flocked linings for an added sense of refinement.
To elevate the sense of luxury, an additional paper sleeve encases the box, doubling its perceived volume and weight. This sleeve serves as a canvas for intricate post-print treatments — including hot stamping and embossing — creating visual contrast, tactile depth, and stronger brand recognition.
Ultimately, kim-a:’s packaging reflects both Hsien-Hsun HUANG’s creative vision and the brand’s uncompromising quality, delivering an experience that embodies its core ethos of Absolute Authenticity.
“Design Is the Execution of Thought”
“Design is the process of turning insight into action,” says Hsien-Hsun HUANG.
“We love the stage before execution — the research, the dialogue. kim-a: has a truly distinctive DNA.
During brainstorming, both teams quickly aligned on key themes: semiotics, atomic mass, the density of gold, boiling points, new orders… Concepts that resonated deeply and gave form to the brand’s identity.
It felt less like a project — and more like co-creation.”
